Why am I crying???

I read the part about the dog and seriously I cried. i realize this makes me a huge nerd but still I was very sad. I have actually found that the characters in this book have become kind of real and while they are not my new invisible friends I kind of get emotional when they do and so on. I guess that is the sign of a good book!

I have not gotten to the part about the dog yet, but I am now just about to go into the 70's and I do feel that the characters are more real. It's kind of like reality T.V. I don't really believe that they are my friends (well, maybe Brad from Real World San Diego is - he just doesn't know yet)but I find myself connected to them and waiting to see what happens next. So I guess I'm saying that a good book is like reality T.V.? I'm pretty sure that wasn't it...

I know! The author makes the characters have such a realness to them that you form conncetions with them. That is why I couldn't put the book down and wanted more. I also really like reality T.V. so anything similar is for me!
