I started reading Nature Girl by Carl Hiaasen this morning and the first 10 pages were really kind of slow. I didn't think that I was going to keep reading, but then...it picked up and I am really getting into the different characters and the story, that as of now, I am still unclear about. I know about the characters, but the plot or purpose of the book has not shown itself yet and I am anxious to figure out what the deal is! Will keep you posted!

is it fiction?
Fiction meaning...not real?
I like Carl Hiaasen. I started reading him because my friend Paula and her husband like him. He writes for the Miami Herald and they enjoy his articles. His books are odd, but interesting.
since I live in the swamp of the glades, I got the book and read it. The best part is the description of the area in the 10,000 island region and a lot of the haunts I hang out at. The plot is sillier than striptease.
Jenny , have you tried writing short stories you might be good at it , you seem to be very at home in books and you have nice style
( Bet you have nice tits as well but thats another story)
Honestly though something blogging has taught me is that the "personality " of a woman really is sexy. I always thought this was a lie but when thats all you have you can see just how true it is.
Ashley:
His books are crazy, that manhas to be doing drugs to come up with these stories!
Srcohiba:
He is great at describing and painting mental images for you. Striptease had an amazing plot...why you gots to dis???
Newmania:
You alwasy come back to my tits! I don't know that I would be able to write a good short story. I am too brief and have a hard time stretching things out. Thanks for the encouragment though, If I do write something, I will dedicated it to you...and if I get famous...you can totally feel up my tits!
So what did you think of the book? It was fun; I compare it to eating a big mac; tastes good; nothing nutricious though. I just couldn't buy the plot that she would go through all what she did and all to teach Mr. Eisinhower a lesson. It was funny at parts; the hands in the stone crabs?
Of his stuff, I liked Hoot the best (only saw the movie) but the plot wasn't so far fetched. very entertaining.
thanks for the comments on my photo blog
regards
and if your dad ever wants to get of that Paul, let me know. :-D
Srochiba:
I thought the plot was obserd, but entertaining.
I read his book Skinny Dip and it was pretty good. I like his style of writing. Maybe I should go buy this one, too.
Christie:
You can have my copy...just swing on by next time your in Chicago...I promise to wipe off the stains!
I think if you liked his other stuff you should read this one, I don't think I could read him back to back...like I do Jodi Picoult!
